"A RIGHTEOUS MAN CARES FOR THE NEEDS OF HIS ANIMAL."
Proverbs 12:10
WHO ARE WE?
We are a NO-KILL Animal Rescue and a group of dedicated animal lovers who feel it is our job to care for God's "helpless" creatures. Our Staff consists of all volunteers.
We are dedicated to finding "forever" homes for all our babies and we have even taken those "less desirable" pets who need vet care and lots of attention. We have taken those "found or surrendered" pets no one else will! Many times this requires hundreds or even a few thousand dollars in vet bills before they may be adopted to a loving family.
All of our animals are kept in foster homes. This allows for a healthier environment for our animals and a place where they will receive some "tender loving care."
Is the pet good with children, cats, or other dogs? Is the pet a "special needs" pets; i.e. blind, deaf, or have a chronic illness? Does the pet need to be placed in a one-pet family? Is the pet housebroken or crate trained? Does the pet need medical attention before it will be adoptable? Fostering gives us a chance to get to know the pet.

FELLOW BOARD MEMBER CORTLAND FINNEGAN OF THE TENNESSEE TITANS IN THE CITY PAPER:
BOARDMEMBER TENNESSEE TITANS CORTLAND FINNEGAN EXTENDED THROUGH 2011
August 15, 2008
Titans extend Finnegan through 2011
By JIM WYATT
Staff Writer
The Titans have agreed to terms on a contract extension for cornerback Cortland Finnegan, a deal that will keep him under contract through the 2011 season, according to the player’s agent.
Finnegan, one of the team’s rising young stars, is headed into just his third NFL season.
His new contract is worth roughly $17 million over the next four seasons, and it includes roughly $8.5 million in guaranteed money. He’ll receive a $6 million signing bonus, and a $500,000 base salary for 2008.
Finnegan was initially scheduled to make the rookie minimum of $445,000 this year.
The two sides began negotiating the deal earlier his offseason, but just reached the deal on Friday morning. The paperwork still hasn’t been signed, but could be by the end of the day, agent Terry Watson said.
“Cortland has really been embraced by the organization and they have really made him a priority,’’ agent Terry Watson said. “Cortland is ecstatic about all this.’’
The Titans are also extremely optimistic about Finnegan, who gained a reputation last season for being one of the most underrated cornerbacks in the NFL.
In his 2nd season, playing in place of suspended cornerback Pacman Jones, Finnegan racked up 109 tackles and an interception last season. He was a seventh round draft pick by the Titans in 2006 out of Samford University.
Watson credited Vin Marino, Titans Senior Director of Football Administration, for his work on the deal. Finnegan becomes the fifth Titan to get a contract extension since last season, joining receiver Justin Gage, fullback Ahmard Hall and tackles Michael Roos and David Stewart.
“This was a fairly unique deal because (Cortland) hasn’t been in the NFL that long, but he is an emerging superstar,’’ Watson said. “Vin and I were able to work through various scenarios to create a good deal for both sides.’’
