OUR FIRST SUCCESS STORY TO BE POSTED

Basha was rescued from being euthanized about six months ago and is a white husky mix. He is one of those precious babies that you just have a hard time placing. He was discovered to be deaf when it was realized he would not come when called. He couldn't hear commands. Now, thanks to wonderful new parents, Basha has overcome this and found a wonderful family who loves him very much and he looks so happy and content, as you can see in the photos.

Thank you to the new parents! The staff of Proverbs 12:10.

Do you think it is possible these two are related???? Question to ponder... In the email subject she has "twins separated at birth" Another success story.

I just wanted you to see Mekah & Chester together. I think he must be her grandfather. Things are going really well here and we are very grateful for both of them. We can't wait til all her vet business is done and we can start including her on our daily walk in Warner park. Meanwhile she has really made herself at home sleeping on the bed and couch, nibbling food out of the cat's dish, ect. She is a wonderful sweet girl!

Thank you so much, Renee

Hi, my name is Chopper and my mommy was found wandering around Dickson very pregnant. A sweet lady took me in and contacted Mrs. Lavonne at Proverbs 12:10 where she and a wonderful foster mommy took care of me and my brothers and sisters until I found my forever family. As you can see from my baby picture, I felt right at home on my new doggy bed the first day my family took me home. Now I am a big boy, 8 months old and 70lbs! My vet says that I will grow to be almost 100lbs! I'm very active and I love to play all the time! My family and I have a cabin on the lake and I love spending my weekends playing in the water and watching my daddy catch fish! I'm so thankful that Mrs. Lavonne and her staff took me and my siblings in and took such good care of us until I could find my forever family. Proverbs 12:10 is such a blessing.

I thought you'd like to see a few pictures of Coach (Diego). He's fattening up, I don't think he needs to put on much more weight ,maybe like another 5 pounds or so. He's up to about 65 pounds. Thanks for everything you do! Jenn Altom PS these pictures are outside the Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. :)

GIZMO - This little baby was found covered head to toe in ticks just a few weeks old abandoned by the mailbox in a bunch of weeds. He was taken immediately to the vet and they spent over an hour "deticking" her. It didn't even begin to get them all off. She was so eaten up with ticks and a belly full of worms that she was very sick and having seizures and almost didn't make it. One of our staff members took her home and took very special care of her and nurtured her to survival. She was thought to be blind and was still having seizures, but someone took her home and adopted her. She was very lucky as today she is NOT blind and is very healthy and loved. the picture to the left is after she got all the ticks off and was at her new home. The picture below is today with her new "Mom" a few months later. A TRUE MIRACLE BABY, OUR GIZMO!

----Once I was a lonely Dog----
ONCE I WAS A LONELY DOG,
JUST LOOKING FOR A HOME.
I HAD NO PLACE TO GO,
NO ONE TO CALL MY OWN.
I WANDERED UP AND DOWN THE STREETS,
IN THE RAIN IN HEAT AND SNOW.
I ATE WHAT EVER I COULD FIND,
I WAS ALWAYS ON THE GO.
MY SKIN WOULD ITCH, MY PAWS WERE SORE,
MY BODY ACHED WITH PAIN.
AND NO ONE STOPPED TO GIVE A PAT OR
TO GENTLY SAY MY NAME.
I NEVER SAW A LOVING GLANCE,
I WAS ALWAY ON THE RUN.
FOR PEOPLE THOUGHT THAT HURTING ME
WAS REALLY LOTS OF FUN.
AND THEN ONE DAY I HEARD A VOICE SO
GENTLE, KIND AND SWEET,
AND ARMS SO SOFT REACHED DOWN TO ME
AND TOOK ME OFF MY FEET.
"NO ONE AGAIN WILL HURT YOU"
WAS THE WHISPERED IN MY EAR.
"YOU'LL HAVE A HOME TO CALL YOUR OWN
WHERE YOU WILL KNOW NO FEAR".
"YOU WILL BE DRY, YOU WILL BE WARM,
YOU'LL HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT AND REST
ASSURED THAT WHEN YOU SLEEP,
YOUR DREAMS WILL ALL BE SAFE".
I WAS AFRAID I MUST ADNIT,
I'VE LIVE SO LONG IN FEAR.
I CAN'T REMEMBER WHEN I LET A HUMAN
COME SO NEAR..
AND AS SHE TENDED TO MY WOUNDS AND
BATHED AND BRUSHED MY FUR SHE TOLD
ME 'BOUT THE RESCUE GROUP AND WHAT
THEY MEANT TO HER.
SHE SAID, "WE ARE A CIRCLE, A LINE THAT
NEVER ENDS. AND IN THE CENTER THERE IS
YOU PROTECTED BY NEW FRIENDS".
"AND ALL AROUND YOU ARE THE ONES THAT
CHECK THE POUNDS, AND THOSE THAT SHEARE
HOME AFTER YOU'VE BEEN FOUND".
"AND ALL THE OTHER FOLKS ARE SEARCHING
NEAR AND FAR. TO FIND THE PERFECT HOME FOR YOU,
WHERE YOU CAN BE A STAR."
SHE SAID, "THERE IS A FAMILY, THAT'S WAITING
PATIENTLY, AND PRETTY SOON WE'LL FIND THEM,
JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE."
"AND THEN THEY'LL JOIN OUR CIRCLE THEY'LL
HELP TO MAKE IT GROW, SO THERE'LL BE ROOM
FOR MORE LIKE YOU, WHO HAVE NO PLACE TO GO."
I WAITED SO VERY PATIENTLY, THE DAYS THEY CAME AND WENT.
TODAY'S THE DAY I THOUGHT, MY FAMILY WILL BE SENT.
THEN JUST WHEN I BEGAN TO THINK IT WASN'T MEANT TO BE, THERE
WERE PEOPLE STANDING THERE JUST GAZING DOWN AT ME.
I KNEW THEM IN A HEART BEAT, I COULD TELL THEY FELT IT TOO.
THEY SAID, "WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A SPECIAL DOG LIKE YOU."
NOW EVERY NIGHT I SAY A PRAYER TO ALL THE GODS THAT BE.
"THANK YOU FOR MY LIFE I LIVE AND ALL YOU'VE GIVEN ME.
BUT MOST OF ALL PROTECT THE DOGS IN THE POUND AND ON THE
STREETS. AND SEND A RESCUE PERSON TO LIFT THEM OFF THEIR FEET".
