FEATURED PETS
This is PEPPER A very special puppy. She is about 10 months old. She was pulled from a "kill" shelter by us on the day she was to be euthanized. She developed a severe case of bacterial kennel cough immediately upon being pulled. She had to be put in quarantine at the Vet's office for 4-5 days on antibiotics and steroids.
She is a survivor though. She pulled through and came home to the foster where she stayed for about a week and then was spayed. Believe me, she didn't like that too much. She was doing wonderful at the foster's house, playing very well with the other four dogs. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs!
Then she discovered those pesky things called CATS who lived upstairs.
Not good - so Pepper is not a cat dog. She does not like cats at all and if you have cats, you would not want to introduce her to them.
If you have dogs - she is great with other dogs. She needs to be in an environment where she will burn lots and lots of energy. Possibly someone who is a runner and can take her running everyday with them.
She is currently staying with a foster who has other pets and gets along great with them. The foster is able to take her out walking or running daily and she is thriving.
If you want to meet Pepper, please contact us. She does not like going to Petco on Saturday's as it really stresses her and she acts like a dog that she really isn't. She gets cranky and is not portrayed in the light she really is.
She is a very sweet and very loving dog with a lot of energy and love to give. We would be glad to set up a time to meet with you, even on Saturday's at Petco if we know what time you will be there.
If you are looking for a loyal companion and someone to go on hikes, runs, and/or walks with you - this is the dog for you! She even gives hugs!
